WE ARE PROUD TO EXTEND SURGICAL SERVICES TO OUR PATIENTS.
ANIMAL SPAYING AND NEUTERING
In an effort to help your pet live a healthy life, we provide spay and neuter services. Choosing to spay or neuter your new pet is one of the most responsible decisions you can make as a pet owner. Spaying and neutering pets is estimated to add years to your pet's life in decreasing or eliminating their chances of getting certain cancers; it also helps decrease the amount of animals in shelters and the number of euthanized pets each year.
We believe spaying and neutering animals is a productive initiative. In providing these services, we hope to prolong pets' lives and help the community in preventing pet overpopulation.
As humans, we should go for a deep dental cleaning at our dentist once every six months or so. So why should it be any different for our wonderful pets? In fact, we go for cleanings on top of already brushing our teeth a minimum of two times per day. Do you brush your pet’s teeth at all? Definitely inquire about this at your pet’s next vet visit as the bacteria which live in your pet’s mouth can lead to more serious issues, such as heart, liver and kidney infections. Mouth health is directly linked to the rest of the body’s health and this is a message that should be spread more often to further educate pet owners all over the world.
Although we humans undergo cleanings without anesthesia, veterinarians choose to use anesthesia for the optimal safety and comfort of your pet. We wouldn’t want your precious companions to be stressed and afraid while we thoroughly clean their teeth and gums. Even humans don’t like the sight of needles and the sound of drills, so this is why we cautiously and comfortably allow for them to sleep through this type of procedure.
Before any surgical procedure is booked, if you are already a client with us and have had your pet’s vaccinations put up to date in our establishment, we can make you an accurate as possible estimate for dental scaling and book this for you at your earliest convenience. For new patients who have all of their vaccines up-to-date, a pre-surgery exam is still necessary in order to evaluate your pet’s overall health and to make a proper estimate for the upcoming surgery.
SOFT TISSUE SURGERY
Our veterinary hospital is equipped to handle routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries. Soft tissue surgeries are typically performed in conjunction with another service such as oncology, but they can also be performed singularly. Soft tissue refers to anything not involving bones.
